What is AfroBerlin

AfroBerlin offer a unique opportunity for attendees to discuss and interact with the key players of the African film industry and to better understand the rationale behind its phenomenal growth. In 2025, AfroBerlin introduces Afro Film Music Days with a focus on the intersectionality between music and film and monetization opportunities for creatives. 

 

With a series of panel discussions, strategic insights, and presentations, AfroBerlin will help further inform production companies, distribution partners and financiers on the marketability of content produced by African, Afro-descended filmmakers and creatives from various minorities.

 

AfroBerlin aims at connecting creatives, businesses and stakeholders from the entire film ecosystem at the busiest film market in the world, the European Film Market at the Berlinale.

AfroBerlin & Afro Film Music Days Registration

Please, note that a registration to AfroBerlin doesn’t grant access to Berlinale or the EFM. In order to access Berlinale you need a Festival Accreditation, in order to access the EFM you need a Market Badge. Market Badges can be purchased at an Early Bear Rate until December 3, 2024. You can find all further details on their respective websites. If you need an invitation letter though, you will need to purchase a EFM market badge.

Please check your email including your spam folder after hitting the "submit" button, you don't need to submit twice, go check your email immediately after submitting. You should receive your registration confirmation. You cannot access AfroBerlin without a registration confirmation.
